Solid construction

I like this style of corkscrew. However, they didn't last very long. Plastic corks seemed to put too much stress on them. I switched to the sort of corkscrew that waiters typically use. This works fine except that the cork often comes out at an angle and breaks. I looked around for another wing corkscrew with the condition that it must not be made in China. This one is made in Italy and has very solid construction. It is easy to use. It is also to remove the cork from the screw - something that is a bit harder with a waiter's corkscrew. I expect it to last for years and I'd recommend it to anyone asking.
Value is worth the price.

I bought this to replace an ancient wing corkscrew
which fell apart. This new one is extremely well designed with quality materials. It is very sturdy and I look forward to opening many bottles with it over the years!
