Your friends will admire it!

This wine opener is the best looking opener I have had. It is solid and very much a conversation piece at our gatherings. The turn screw that goes into the cork sometimes "pushes" the cork into the bottle and other times holds on to the cork after the bottle is released from clamp.
Pride-of-place

We agree with other reviews, although we've not yet used our opener. It is beautiful - sturdy and detailed. It's a tad "taller" than I had expected - but what was I thinking?! Of *course* it will be taller than a wine bottle and needs space for leverage! Once in our new retirement home, it will hold pride-of-place wherever it ends up living!
Disappointed customer

Wine opener arrived without the four screws to attach the stand to the base. Customer service was notified and promptly sent the missing screws. Unfortunately, they did not fit properly in order to secure the stand to the base. My husband had to devise a way to make the screws fit by tapping the four holes for the screws, then finding washers to bridge the gap since the screws were still not flush with the base. After all that, I followed the easy instructions for opening, and it was not so easy. The bottle did not release as described; it had to be forcefully pulled free. Not at all what I was expecting. Very disappointed with this product and do not plan to purchase from your company again.

Purchased for son’s wedding. Perfect gift!
Original granite base was chipped in several places. I contacted customer service and replacement was mailed a day later. I did not need to return original base.
Screws too short, Scratched Base.

The granite base was found to be scratched [scoffed] on top. Additionally the 4 screws for attaching the arm to the base were too short. Could only get 2 of the 4 to even thread and those were hanging on by 1 to 1.5 threads. They needed to be at least 1/4 inch longer. Had to find screws to finish the job. Not what I would consider a high quality product.
